A classical tea brewing vessel that has withstood time–from the Ming Dynasty to today, the practical function and understated elegance of the humble gaiwan is inherent in its three parts: a lid, a bowl, and a saucer. The Tang sancai style gave credence to its parts representing heaven, humanity, and earth–all interconnected harmoniously, grounding the experience of gongfucha for both home-brewing and sharing among friends.
